Themes

The Word Bank’s Evergreen utilises Geddes’s triad Folk, Work, Place – which he claimed must be in balance to make a ‘good place’- as the themes of the first three volumes. The final volume breaks with this tradition by featuring only female contributors:

PLACE: looking, appreciating the distinctive locality – published Autumn 2014

WORK: how place directs the local economy – published Autumn 2015

FOLK: local folk, local community, local culture – published Summer 2017

FUTURES: rethinking community, an all-female edition – published Autumn 2019
